The Actisense NGT-1, a cutting-edge NMEA 2000® to PC interface, has received the acclaimed National Marine Electronics Association (NMEA) Product of Excellence Award in the NMEA 2000 sensor category. This latest gong marks the third year in a row that the multi-award winning NMEA specialists have achieved this particularly prestigious accolade as voted by their fellow NMEA peers.

Phil Whitehurst, CEO of Actisense, received the 2016 NMEA Product of Excellence Award on behalf of the specialist marine electronics brand, Actisense. The award was voted by fellow NMEA members, the Actisense NGT-1 has been selected as the best NMEA 2000® Sensor of 2016. This was the second time we were recognised and honoured with the NMEA Product of excellence award.

The David Coleman Export award is given in memory of David Coleman who was a very well-known personality within the marine industry. David Barrow, British Marine Board Member and Director of Barrow International, comments, “The David Coleman Excellence in Exporting Award was created to recognise exceptional export marketing and sales development. Actisense received the acclaimed award from the National Marine Electronics Association (NMEA) in recognition of their popular EMU-1 (Engine Monitoring Unit). The Actisense EMU-1, a specialised analogue to NMEA 2000 Gateway that converts data from analogue engine senders into NMEA 2000, enables NMEA 2000 display devices to monitor the engine on a vessel.
